Use materials found around us every day in creative ways to create miniature mandalas. Look for treasures (think beans, seeds, screws, wires, beads, fabric, etc.) and learn how to creatively arrange them with radial symmetry to create miniature mosaic mandalas in upcycled jar lids. You’ll create a hanging ornament for yourself and contribute to a large mosaic wall hanging for the artVenture auction.
Adult supervision is required.
A Zoom meeting link will be sent to each participant prior to the program. All program times are listed in Central Time (CT). Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska is not responsible for lost or delayed packages once they are delivered to the US Postal service.
Cost $25, includes heat set adhesive, and patch
Not Included: 2 metal jar lids (2-1/2" or larger, such as those from spaghetti sauce or salsa jars), hammer, nail, fun/interesting items to incorporate into your mandala and ornament (screws, seeds, fabric, paper, rocks, beads, old electronic parts), heat source to set the adhesive (i.e. oven, toaster oven, griddle or heat gun), and return postage to send the collaborative piece back to artist
